About the Author

The Published Librarian: Successful Professional and Personal Writing by the American Library Association, is her 19th book. CAROL SMALLWOOD BIOGRAPHY:
Carol Smallwood has appeared in English Journal, Michigan Feminist Studies, The Yale Journal for Humanities in Medicine, Journal of Formal Poetry, The Writer’s Chronicle, The Detroit News, and anthologies. On the Way to Wendy, 2008, is her first chapbook. Writing and Publishing: The Librarian’s Handbook, American Library Association, 2010 is her 20th book. She’s a Short Listed 2009 Finalist/Eric Hoffer Award for Best New Writing; 2009 National Federation of State Poetry Societies Award Winner. Lily’s Odyssey, 2010 is Smallwood’s first novel; Contemporary American Women: Our Defining Passages, 2009, is a co-edited anthology. Smallwood appears in Contemporary Authors, Who’s Who in America.
