JACKSON COUNTY — A Moss Point woman accused of felony child abuse is suspected of causing injuries to her toddler over a period of at least six months, Sheriff Mike Byrd said. The Department of Human Services has the boy in protective custody, the sheriff said. Jammie Victoria Steinmetz, 21, of the 13700 block of Pinedale Road, was arrested Thursday and held at the county jail.
