I have always been very impressed with people who have faced struggles, over came their challenges and beat the odds. People who change their entire life to do something positive, not only to help themselves, but to help others in need. Eight month ago, I was introduced to an amazing woman named Laurie Ann Smith. Laurie and I immediately became friends, but it wasn’t until I had the opportunity to read her book “A Life of Death: The Redemption,” I was introduced to the life she was forced to endure as a child at the hands of the people who were suppose to love and care for her the most; her parents.
