Melissa Huckaby Gets Life in Prison, Asks for Forgiveness
Huckaby was sentenced for the murder of 8 year old Sandra Cantu whose body was found stuffed in a suitcase in a pond in April 2009.
STOCKTON — A Sunday school teacher who pleaded guilty to kidnapping and murdering an 8 year old girl was sentenced to life in prison without parole Monday.
Melissa Huckaby, 29, pleaded guilty last month to murdering Sandra Cantu, 8, whose body was found in a suitcase in an irrigation pond not far from her home.
