Police make another arrest at home of abused children

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) - Just hours after a mother and her boyfriend appear in court on charges related to a little boy’s death, police make another arrest at the home where the child lived his final moments.

Police say they responded to a domestic violence call at the home of Bing Cherry Drive on Friday afternoon. Sources confirm the family’s grandmother was subsequently arrested after a victim suffered scratch wounds to the face and arms.

Still no word on the specifics of the situation, however that arrest happened at the same residence where police say a number of children have been abused.

Police say the on-going abuse was so violent that it led up to a 3-year-old boy’s death. An autopsy revealed Leland Garcia had severe bruising all over his body and internal injuries consistent with blunt force trauma.

Six siblings also live at the home where the alleged abuse happened. Police say their mother’s boyfriend, Jesse Parsons, abused them as well. He’s accused of beating the children with a metal object and wooden spoon.

A neighbor who says he knew something was “off” describes hearing suspicious noises coming from the home.
