How to Find Sex Offenders on Networking Sites & Report Them to Authorities

I read this one over at Red-Alerts regarding a fantastic and rather clever idea recently created by Chris Yarbrough, who happens to run Crime Shadows News.

The idea is to find a registered sex offender on any social networking website (it ain’t hard) and report that account to him via his contact form found here.
Mr. Yarbrough will then report the suspecting profile to both MySpace and if the law requires, the county or state in which the individual currently resides.
I found 3 and reported them…see if you can beat me!
Here’s how to begin:
1. Simply know someone listed or locate the state in which you currently reside:
Oregon
Pennsylvania
Rhode Island
South Carolina
South Dakota
Tennessee
Texas
Utah
Vermont
Virginia
Washington (This is where you wan’t to live if your a registered sex offender)
West Virginia
Wisconsin
2. Examine the various offenders on the respective official websites.
3. Head on over to the more popular social networks out there:
Xanga (I don’t think anybody actually really uses the site anymore, but what the hell!)
Gaia (They really like this one too)
Include others if you wish…

4. Search, search and search
**Helpful Hints:**
Remember kids, like a lot in life, it really isn’t as hard as it may actually look. Whenever I come across a certain profile I’ll usually go ahead and report it anyway….come what may I suppose.
Even so, Mr. Yarbrough once wrote something several years ago in which I have never forgotten and will always remember.
You see, there are certain people out there that will only cease to exist until they devour everything that will stand up to them.
Each day brings a different appetite…
