VENICE–Woman Pregnant with Twins Raped and Killed

The incident happened around 10:00 p.m. at a duplex in the 1600 block of Electric Avenue near Superba Avenue.
The woman may have been taking groceries to and from her car at the time she was attacked.
A neighbor — possibly the landlord of the duplex — saw the suspect go into the woman’s apartment and called police, who arrested the suspect as he was leaving the apartment.
When officers entered the house they discovered a 39-year-old female of Asian descent suffering from multiple stab wounds, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
She was transported to a local hospital and pronounced dead a short time later. Her two unborn children were also killed in the attack.
Her identity has not been released, pending notification of her next of kin.
Boneetio Kentro Washington, a 22-year-old man from Culver City, was arrested and booked for murder with special circumstances.
He was being held at the Van Nuys jail, and was scheduled to be arraigned Thursday.
