TN–Man, 36, charged with incest involving girl, 15
A 36-year-old Murfreesboro man is scheduled to appear in court this November on multiple sex charges against his 15-year-old female relative, according to a report from the Murfreesboro Police Department.
The man — whose name The Daily News Journal is not releasing in order to protect the identify of his alleged juvenile victim — was charged with rape of a child, aggravated statutory rape and incest.
“Detective Wayne Lawson and I received a complaint of possible child sex abuse involving (the suspect) and a 15-year-old victim,” reported Tommy Roberts, Murfreesboro Police Detective.
Roberts’ report states the victim was interviewed at MPD and she disclosed multiple instances of sex abuse starting when she was 11 years old.
“Lawson and I interviewed (the suspect),” Roberts reported. “Subsequent to the interview (the suspect) was arrested and transported to the Rutherford County Jail.”
The report concerning the 36-year-old man’s arrest was made available to the media this week. He was arrested Oct. 13.
Following the arrest, the suspect’s bond was set at $15,000. He is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 12.
